Premier Darrell Dexter, today, Oct. 19, announced the appointment of Chris Daly as acting associate deputy minister of Economic and Rural Development and Tourism. “Chris will be a great asset to the team. He has worked in a variety of senior roles within government and has the experience and knowledge to help government move forward with their plan to create good jobs and grow the economy through jobsHere,” said Premier Dexter. Mr. Daly is now the executive director of Policy and Corporate Services at the Department of Environment. He also served as a senior project executive at the Department of Education. He was previously the director of the province’s Competitiveness and Compliance Initiative. The appointment is effective Oct 31. Mr. Daly replaces Sandra MacKenzie who is now the acting deputy minister of Economic and Rural Development and Tourism.
