(Photo by Christian Petersen/Getty Images)On Saturday afternoon, the Ohio State Buckeyes and Maryland Terrpins met in an all-Big Ten affair. With a spot in the Big Ten title game and potential spot in the College Football Playoff on the line for the Buckeyes against Michigan next weekend, it’s possible the team was overlooking Maryland. The Terrapins dominated the first half and took a 24-17 lead into halftime. Early in the second half, a Maryland defender intercepted a pass from Dwayne Haskins and returned it for a touchdown to take a 31-17 lead.Ohio State battled back and knotted the game at 38 with just a few minutes left to play.Late in the fourth quarter with Maryland at the goalline, Ohio State was called for a very controversial penalty that led to a Maryland touchdown. That pass interference call was so bad you’d have thought Maryland was playing the Browns.— Mark Schwab (@MarkSchwab) November 17, 2018Maryland owns a 45-38 lead with just under two minutes left on the clock. Can Ohio State make a comeback or will Maryland hang on? Stay tuned.last_img read more
