Harps were defeated 1-0 by UCD earlier this evening at the Belfield Bowl.An instinctive finish from Robbie Benson in the second-half condemned Ollie Horgan’s side to defeat in what was a scrappy encounter. Harps lacked a cutting edge throughout and now face a huge game against Athlone at Finn Park on Friday.There was more woe for Harps off the pitch with Packie Mailey sustaining yet another injury as he hobbled off after the hour mark.Tommy McMonagle saw red late-on and he will now miss their crucial clash with Wexford Youths along with Damien McNulty, Ciaran Coll and Kevin McHugh.Harps entertain Athlone on Friday night and will hope they can return to winnings ways before their top of the table clash with Wexford Youths.
