PICO RIVERA – Several equestrians who board their horses at the Pico Rivera Stables are gearing up for a showdown at the facility. The group, who showed up in force at Tuesday’s City Council meeting, said they plan to stay at the stables until the city’s June 30 closing date because they have nowhere else to take their animals. “All the local stables around here are full, so we are going to keep investigating this and fighting it as long as we can,” said Tonja Fredrickson, who keeps her horse Bubbles at the stables.
