first_img Iker Casillas and David De Gea 1 Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas says he would welcome the competition if the club signed David De Gea from Manchester United.De Gea has been widely tipped to leave Old Trafford this summer with Madrid in prime position to capture the 24-year-old.Casillas has had to face competition for the No.1 position from Keylor Navas this season but insists he will be ready to compete with his compatriot De Gea for a starting berth next term.“De Gea is a nice guy and a goalkeeper for the present and the future,” Casillas told El Laguero.“He’ll be welcomed here and we will help him. We’ll compete for a place.“He can cope with pressure and his experience at Manchester United will have served him well.“I’m delighted with competition. My contract doesn’t say I have to start. HANLON AXED FROM COUNTY SQUAD

first_imgAdrian Hanlon has been dropped from the Donegal senior football panel due to a breach of discipline, Jim McGuinness has confirmed.“We have dealt with the matter internally and we’re happy enough that it has been dealt with internally,” McGuinness said.Hanlon, who has been on the county panel since 2009, made a number of substitute appearances in the Allianz Football League campaign but he started at corner-forward in the Ulster SFC clash with Antrim earlier this month.
